Bring a Team!

MISSION TEAMS & CONSTRUCTION NEEDS

House of Hope offers a wide range of opportunities for short-term team ministry, both in Nicaragua and Honduras. Types of mission teams may include medical, construction, women’s ministry, children’s ministries, counseling, vocational teaching – or a combination of ministry activities.

MEDICAL TEAMS

House of Hope has hosted medical teams each year and, in most years, two or more medical teams. The women and children have been greatly blessed by the doctors and other medical professionals’ visits, and look forward to seeing them with great anticipation.

CONSTRUCTION

Construction teams make a tremendous impact.  Short-term construction teams fund their specified projects in either Nicaragua or Honduras.  Projects depend on skill set, time available, and budget raised by the team, and will be determined by current needs.  Heavy construction projects include plumbing, electrical, welding, cement work, and masonry.  Light construction projects consist of painting, cleaning, digging, and repairs.  In Honduras, teams are needed to build our new ministry center.  In Nicaragua, each new graduate receives a house built by construction teams.

MINISTRY TEAMS

House of Hope also needs visiting teams for activities such as Vacation Bible School (VBS), teaching sewing or other vocational skills, or teaching Bible classes.  Teams may also combine different types of service – for example, one team may do both construction and VBS.
