Residence Program

God is doing an awesome work with the over 60 residents at House of Hope. As the young women grow in the Lord and find His love, they also learn to love and nurture their children. As these ladies learn the depth of God’s love, they are gaining skills to cook, clean, sew, bake, knit, and crochet. Residents also learn vocational skills to support their families. Upon program graducation, residents leave House of Hope as completely new women in Christ.

Tuesday Morning Program

Thoughout the week, House of Hope staff completes outreaches in the streets of Nicaragua to minister and pray with women currently working as debt bonded prostitutes.

On Tuesday Mornings, a program that was once only 25 women has now grown to over 300 women.  We begin the morning with praise and worship then a bible lesson. Afterwards women break up into groups and work to make items for our store, including: jewelry, potato bags, eye glasses cases, and greeting cards.

The money earned from product sales goes directly to pay the women who so dilligently crafted each product by hand, in hopes of teaching them marketable skills that will one day allow them to leave the life of slavery and prostitution.

Education Program

We have been delighted to be able to provide school uniforms and scholarships to hundreds of children from our Tuesday morning program. The girls between 13-19 years of age who attend on Tuesdays receive these blessings. The children of the hundreds of women who attend also receive uniforms and scholarships by the gracious help of donars like you. The students in our residential program receive tuition along with books and school supplies, report cards and diplomas, P.E. uniforms and required school photos. Helping these children stay in school, especially the girls, is a deterrent to keep them out of child brothels.

Micro Grant Program

In 2005, April began assisting women with micro-grants so that ladies may realize their own dream of opening a business and to provide a way out of trafficking and prostitution.

If you would like to impact a needy family by helping to make their dream come true, your financial gift to the Micro Industry Grant Program will be greatly appreciated. A donation of approximately $75 will establish a new business and help keep young girls in school and off the streets.
